Prof. Ilemobade's murder: Akure High Court remand two in prison.

An Akure High Court has remanded at the Olokuta prison, Daniel Ita and Olayemi Bamitale for allegedly killing the former Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Prof Albert Ilemobade at his Ijapo residence.

The duo were said to be the domestic staff of the late Professor.  

Justice William Olamide gave the order after the case was transferred to his court from an Akure magistrate court which had earlier arraigned the duo for allegedly murdering the late don and dumped his corpse at his warehouse.

The judge while adjourning hearing in the matter till fifteenth October ordered the accused to be remanded at the Olokuta Medium Security Prison, Akure to allow them prepare their legal representation.

In her reaction, the state Director of Public Prosecution, Mrs Sola Adeyemi-Tuki said all is set to adequately prosecute the matter.

Meanwhile, a federal government agency, the Legal Aid Council has indicated its readiness to provide free legal services for the accused when hearing commences on the fixed date.
