The peoples Democratic party (PDP) south west has zoned the position of the national chairman of the party to Ogun and Lagos states.
This was the high point of decisions reached at the meeting of the party's leaders held at the Ondo state government house in Akure.
The meeting had in attendance, the Ondo state governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, his Ekiti state counterpart, Mr Ayodele Fayose, Chief Bode George, Professor Taoheed Adedoja and Chief Ebenezer Babatope among others.
Addressing Journalists after the closed door meeting, the party Chairman in the south west, Chief Eddy Olafeso said the position of Treasurer of the party was also zoned to Ondo and Ekiti states while the national deputy publicity secretary went to Osun and Oyo states.
While saying the candidates for the party as zoned would emerge soon, Chief Olafeso said the issue of peace and unity of the party were also discussed.
The national convention of the party is billed for 17th of this month at Portharcourt in Rivers state.
