Economic Crisis: ASUU tasks FG on home-grown solutions

Following the official recession status of Nigeria, THE Academic Staff Union of Universities, Akure Zone, has urged the Federal Government to stop globe-trotting for solutions but look inward for homegrown solutions.

> >Coordinator of the zone, dr. Alex Odiyi, who threw the challenge while speaking with newsmen in akure lamented that  adoption of World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) sponsored policies by the federal government has not in any way proffered any solution to the problems of the country.

"If we must solve our problems, we must stop looking abroad for solutions to our problems. Solutions abroad are not meant to proffer solutions for our problems in Nigeria: we must find solutions to our problems ourselves," they said.
