Dare devil armed robbers yesterday struck at Oke Ogba in Akure, the Ondo state capital killing two people, Adeoni Olugbode, a car dealer and Mr Olowe, a pastor as well as injured two others.
The two assailants who struck on a motorbike at about 8;30pm traced the car dealer to his home at Oke ogba before shooting him and his neighbour, a pastor during the operation.
The incident reportedly led to a protest by residents of the area this morning who said robbery cases is gradually becoming rampant.
The state police image maker, Femi Joseph who confirmed the incident said they have commenced investigation with a view to apprehending the assailants.
He ruled out any political twist to the incident, saying it was to premature to come to that conclusion and appealed to residents of the area to maintain peace.
Femi Joseph Said the two injured persons are currently receiving treatment while the remains of the dead have been deposited in the morgue.
