Ondo 2016: Abuja court rulling is a black market judgement that won't affect my mandate- Jegede

                                                Jegede

Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party [PdP] in the 2016 Ondo November election, Eyitayo Jegede [SAN] says the ruling by Justice Okon Abang of a Federal High Court in Abuja will not in anyway affect his mandate because he was not a party to the suit.

Jegede in a statement by his media office in reaction to Justice Abang's ruling that Jimoh Ibrahim should replace him in the November election as the PDP candidate appealed to his supporters to discountenance the ruling which has no effect on his aspiration.

He said his nomination for the election by the PDP was not challenged by the said suit which is why the ruling is a clear case of judgment standing on its head.

The statement reads “Mr. Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, remains the PDP governorship candidate and members of public are enjoined the disregard rumors of substitution of his candidature by a Federal High Court ruling. Our campaigns will still go on as we refuse to be distracted ‎by our detractors."

Jegede described the judgment as a black market ruling bought by the Biyi Poroye faction of the PDP which cannot stand the test of time.
