Ondo 2016: SDP candidate, Agunloye pledges prompt payment of workers' salaries


                 
       



Workers in Ondo state will get their salaries and emoluments as and when due if the Social Democratic Party, SDP gains control of the state.

The party's flag bearer in the November 26 Ondo governorship election, Dr Olu Agunloye gave the promise while unveiling his three points programmes during the inauguration of his campaign held at the Democracy Park in Akure, the state capital.

The national chairman of the party, Chief Olu False presented flag the Dr Agunloye and his running mate, Erelu Modupe Akindele-Martins.

Dr Agunloye said his government would ensure regular payment of salaries and evolve innovative ways of empowering the youth and making them employers of labour instead of job seekers if elected.

The SDP candidate also promised to create an investment-friendly environment that will make Ondo state the toast for investors.

According to him, infrastructure deficit in the state will be addressed and all the ailing industries across the three senatorial districts of the state will be resuscitated to gainfully engage the army of unemployed youths.

In their separate remarks, the national chairman of the party, Chief Olu Falae and the state chairman, Chief Korede Duyile  said SDP is a party built on solid rock with well-articulated welfarist programmes.

The duo described Dr Olu Agunloye as a man with enormous wealth of experience filled with administrative and managerial capacity to turn around the socioeconomic life of Ondo state, calling on the electorate to consider voting for him at the poll.

This scorching sun in Akure could not deter members and supporters of the party from trooping in their thousands to venue of the event. It was attended by the party's national officers.
