A funeral service signposted the final journey of madam Modupe Ajike, mother of the interim chairman of Ose Local government to the world beyond.
Head, Celestial Church of Christ in Ekiti state, Alex Olubode led other ministers to officiate the burial ceremony of a woman who brought the church to Imeri town.
The cleric described the deceased as devout Christian who dedicated her life and time to the service of God and humanity.
Family members, friends and well wishers joined the children and grand children to say a final good bye to their matriarch.
Then came the time for the emotion-laden moment as the remains of the deceased were lowered to the grave.
The flood of tears here was not even enough to bring to life a woman who gave her all to the development of her children and those around her.
She was buried beside her husband at the home of one of his children.
Some children of the deceased who spoke with RichieNews described their mother as a caring woman who could go extra mile for them.
The event later moved to Imeri Model Primary School where guest were entertained.

Born on the 30th of June, 1938 at Idogun in Ose Local government area of Ondo state, the late Mrs Comfort Modupe Ajike was a grassroot politician who touched many lives positively.
She was the Iyalaje of Imeri kingdom.
