The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig.-Gen. Suleiman Kazaure has warned corps members against organising night parties and social events without the approval of appropriate authorities.
Kazaure, who gave the warning while addressing corps members at the NYSC orientation camp in Ikare Akoko, Ondo state
The warning followed the death of nine corps members in Taraba state who got drowned during a picnic by a River.
This was why brigader general kazaure warned corps members against attending or organising social parties without proper authorisation.
He urged them to respect the culture of their host communities and be good ambassadors of the family and the Nysc.
Kazaure reiterated the commitment of the scheme to security and welfare of corps members nationwide.
the State Coordinator, Mrs Grace Akpabio expressed happiness with the visit of the DG and his impression of the orientation camp, especially infrastructural development.
Earlier, The Nysc DG presented gifts to quarter guard, man o war, band and the cultural group as well as undertook a tour of the camp facilities.
