The former governor of Ondo state, Dr Olusegun Mimiko is set to become the flagbearer of the Zenith Labour party for the Ondo central senatorial district in the 2019 election.
Mimiko is presently the presidential candidate of the party.
A former commissioner in his administration, Gboye Adegbenro had already been listed by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC as the party's candidate in the election.
A source close to Mimiko and Adegbenro confirmed the latest development.
