The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of Senator Ahmed Makarfi has described the conduct of Justice Okon Abang of an Abuja Federal High Court in the on-going leadership tussle of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDO) as an embarrassment to the Nigerian judiciary.
PDP made the remark following the judge’s ruling suspending the party’s National Convention slated for Wednesday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Abang had earlier suspended the convention on Monday while entertaining a suit to determine who was the authentic Chairman of the party between, Sen Ahmed Makarfi and the embattled factional Chairman of the party, Sen Ali Modu Sheriff.
But an aspirant for the office of the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Deji Adeyanju, who took to his twitter handle, @adeyanjudeji disclosed that the party would issue Justice Abang a serious warning during the convention.
Adeyanju wrote: “Abang is embarrassing the judiciary & we will issue a serious warning to him at the convention ground.”
