The people of Ilaje have been advised to vote for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo state for the continued development of the area.
A chieftain of the party and chairman of oOndo State Football Agency, Prince John Ola Mafo gave the advise at the party's Ward meeting held at Enu Ama community Aheri Ward in Ilaje local govt area of the state.
The enthusiastic crowd sang sporadically to show their love for the PDP as Mr John Ola Mafo set agenda for the all important meeting.
Mafo who spoke in English and Yoruba languages told the gathering to step up their mobilization to ensure that ondo does not fall onto the hands of the opposition.
He said the state under PDP's watch has climbed the ladder of unprecedented greatness that goes beyond the imagination of all stakeholders even the international community.
Mafo added that opposition parties in the state especially the All Progressives Congress, APC has left Nigerians to swim in the pool of hunger and hardship since it took the mantle of leadership at the national level.
He therefore advised members to go into respective domains and preach the gospel of PDP and its candidate Eyitayo Jegede, SAN so that the state could continue to enjoy more peace, developmental projects, and transformation.
Some members of the opposition parties particularly from the APC were received into the PDP fold as the directors explained their reasons for aligning with PDP.
The people later went into one minute spiritual intercession for the party ahead of the November 26 governorsh poll.
The meeting was attended by party members and supporters including the member representing Ilaje in the Ondo state House of Assembly, Hon. Malaki Cooker.
