Student leaders in Nigeria`s tertiary institutions have been urged to inculcate ethical values and be accountable to their colleagues.
The head, department of Business Administration, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akingba-akoko, Dr Timothy Ihinmoyan stated this at the inauguration ceremony of the new executive officers of the National Association of Business Administration (NABAMS), AAUA chapter.
Represented by a lecturer in the department, Mr Idowu Owoeye, Dr Ihinmoyan stressed the need for them to fulfil on their campaign promises to the students (electorate). Oath was thereafter administered on the student leaders.
They are: Osanyintuyi Ifeoluwa president, Animasaun Funmilola vice president, Otiko Taiwo general secretary, Olufodun Oluwatobi Treasurer, Akinyode Opeyemi sports director, Akinmoju Oluwakemi social director, Akindeji Babatunde welfare director, Ojodun Bukola fin sec., Ologunore Tope PRO, Arogbokun Adeyemi librarian, Akinyosoye Idowu AGS.
In his inaugural speech, the new president, Osanyintolu Ifeoluwa thanked members of the association for the confidence repose in him, assuring them of his determination readiness to uplift the association. “I can assure you my fellow managers that I am not going to disappoint you”, he pledged.
AAUASU president, Ikuogbebe Segun was among dignitaries at the event. The new officers will paddle the affairs of the association for the 2013/2014 academic session.
