World Health Organization, WHO has chosen mother and child hospitals in ondo state as research centers for child and maternal health care delivery
Head of the reproductive health and research, WHO, Dr Femi Oladapo announced this during a courtesy visit to Dr Olusegun Mimiko in Akure, the state capital.
Dr Oladapo said the research was aimed at improving on the quality of care for women in labour in the society
The WHO representative who noted that the international health organization was looking forward to creating better tools for labour monitoring added that results from the mother and child hospitals had been impressive
Responding, Dr Olusegun Mimiko thanked the body for the recognition and promised to partner WHO to enhance health care delivery across the state
Dr Mimiko attributed the achievements to the commitment and dedication of the state's health workers and encouraged them to sustain the tempo
