The Ondo state governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko has restated his administration's continuous support for Adekunle Ajasin university Akungba-Akoko to enable it fulfill the dream of its founding fathers.
The governor gave the assurance at the send-off dinner in honour of the out gone Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of the institution, Ambassador Oladele Akadri in Akure.
Governor Olusegun Mimiko who was represented by his deputy, Abdulazeez Oluboyo commdened his ambassador akadri for his commitment to duty while he held sway not minding his age.
He said government is appreciative of his achievements in office and would want the incoming councl chairman to learn from his winning streaks.
The governor re-assured of his unfliting support for AAUA towards ensuring the institution maintains it's leadership status in the country.
The institution's VC, prof Igbekele Ajibefun thanked Ambassador akadiri for his lasting legacies in the university cutting across infrastructure, personnel and academic development.
The goodwill messages of the representative of the governing council, Alex Mbakwe and that of the family Dr Balogun Ojo described ambassador Akadiri as excellence personified and stickler for time.
Responding, the celebrant who was flanked by his wife, Omolara thanked the government for the opportunity to serve his state, having criss-cross the globe in the service of humanity.
Highlite of the event include presentation of gift to the celebrant and cutting of his 87 birthday cake .
