The Management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria, has taken the delivery of a newly-completed 500-Capacity Lecture Theatre and a Relaxation Centre from contractors.
The two structures which were TETfund projects were handed over to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, in the presence of other Principal and Top Officers of the University on Thursday penultimate week.
Prof. Ajibefun commended the work of the contractors after taking a tour of the edifice.
He said, “These buildings are 21st Century compliant. Apart from adding to the aesthetics of the University, they have formed a part of the infrastructural development of the University.
“The Relaxation Centre will reduce the work load on the only Relation Centre we had before. This Relation Centre is different from the previous one in that it is more spacious and can accommodate both staff and students.”
Commending the contractors and consultants for a well-done job, the VC appreciated the University’s Project Monitoring Committee under the leadership of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Francis Oyebade, and the Physical Planning and Development Unit under the Directorship of Arch. Emmanuel Orimoloye, and for their roles in ensuring that quality projects were delivered to the University.
