Rotimi Akeredolu has emerged the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State.
This was the outcome of the party's primary election held at the International Event Centre in Akure, the state capital.
The chairman of the electoral committee and governor of Jigawa state, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar declared Mr. Akeredolu winner of the poll.

MR Rotimi Akeredolu polled 669 votes to emerge winner while his closest rival, Dr. Abraham settled for 635.

Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar described the internal electoral process as transparent and credible.
While calling on other aspirants to join hands with Mr. Akeredolu in order to win the November 26th governorship poll, he added that the party was prepared to defeat the ruling peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
